Holiday Giving Announcements at the IAHF Hall

​Family Giving Tree has already started and ends December 3rd!​​​​

Once again, we are going to do a Christmas gift drive for the Family Giving Tree. We have a Christmas tree at the IAHF with 50 cards on it. Each card has a person’s name on it, their approximate age, and the gift they are requesting. There is a second gift listed in case the first one is unavailable. The retail value of the gift should be between $25 and $50. Monetary donations, either cash or check, are certainly welcome, as are gift cards, particularly to stores like Target, Safeway, etc.

​When you buy a gift, it is very important that you tape the Family Giving Tree card onto the package. You do not gift wrap the package. They also request that you add a toothbrush as it helps to encourage good habits. All gifts must be brought to IAHF by December 3 so that I can get them to the warehouse by December 4. There will be a big box to put gifts in. Stanley has always been extremely helpful in letting people pick up cards or deliver gifts even when there is no function going on as long as the IAHF is open, Tuesdays through Fridays, 10 to 4. All these recipients are needy people. They have been carefully screened, and they are all clients of social service agencies. Your gift will truly go to make someone’s Christmas happy who might not have received anything otherwise.
